Established in 1999, Tropikal Pet A.Ş. is the first, largest and leading cat and dog dry food manufacturer in Turkey.

Tropikal markets in total 420 different types of products that all relate to domestic animal alimentation and care. 80% of Tropikal’s sales are coming from cat and dog food, which is produced in-house.

It sells its wide product range to more than 3,500 pet shops, veterinary clinics, local and national chain stores across Turkey. In 2003, Tropikal established the first dry pet food production plant in Turkey that focussed solely on cat and dog food. Today, this is still the largest plant in Turkey. Tropikal exports to 16 countries in three continents.

In 2010, “The Riverside Company”, a US based investment fund acquired 60% of the shares of Tropikal Pet. Riverside has activities in 14 countries and its global portfolio includes more than 75 companies. Thanks to its USD 4.4 billion in assets under management, Riverside provided financial and organization power for the future projects of Tropikal Pet. Tropikal Pet is the "first and only domestic animal products" company acquired by Riverside in the world.
